Colubrids

Our first love has always been Colubrids. From Drymarchon to Spilotes and Pytas. Or even the nostalgia inducing Lampropeltis. We love ’em.

Our main, and currently only, focus for Colubrids is the Drymarchon genus. There is no great way to explain why we like them so much. All I can really say is that if I could only own a single reptile for the rest of my life it would no doubt be an Eastern Indigo.

Our first goal is to selectively breed for robust and vibrant animals that feel powerful in your hands the way Drymarchon should.

Our second goal is to slowly develop bloodlines in rubidus and Blacktails that represent the various wild phenotypes found throughout their range such as Yucatan Blacktail Cribos, or Guerrero rubidus.

True locality information on Drymarchon is rarely available so these aren’t true locality specimens rather names for different phenotypes of each species.

Boas

A few years ago we obtained a beautiful pair of Suriname Boa constrictors. Mostly just because of childhood nostalgia. Then the pair just slowly became some of our favorite snakes to interact with.

Our focus with Boas is basically to help bridge certain “locales” and bloodlines to the next generation of keepers. Ones that we prefer and are nostalgic to us personally as kids from the 80’s and 90’s that read Reptile Magazine and rode bikes to local Pet Stores just to hang out.

In other words, we didn’t pave any paths, blaze any trails, or figure anything out, but we grew up watching the guys that did from a distance. So we’ll just try to help keep what they made going so the next ones can see them too.

Pythons

Having kept various Short Tailed Pythons many times over the years we finally decided to focus on Python curtus. The smaller and calmer of the 3 and the most visually appealing to us personally.

Our focus is on selectively breeding Pumpkin-heads for high contrast and deep vibrant colors with high blacks on the body. We are also working towards the blackest black phases with the most vibrant orange eyes possible.

Selectively Sourced

For each species we work with we have in our minds a preferred overall look that we feel best represents each species. This is the look we seek out and this is the look we select for when choosing holdbacks. 

Taste in reptile phenotypes and subtle changes within them vary from person to person. We just work with what we like and produce animals for people with taste similar to our own.
